From the Archives: Horror/Beauty/Revulsion explores the aesthetics of film archiving and digital printing as well as the tension between the alluring and the repulsive.
All of the images in From the Archives: Horror/Beauty/Revulsion were composited from film and footage archived in The Internet Archive. Clips from these public domain films were layered in After Effects and exported in 1080p, screenshots of the resulting .mp4 file were printed on a dual-drum risograph printer and hand-bound by Julian Robbins in October 2024.
